How To Make Video Calls On WhatsApp 2016 Updates!!

WhatsApp video calling is now available in WhatsApp beta app. The official WhatsApp beta app has now come with the video calls feature. This means you can now make video calls on your WhatsApp like you use to do with the other apps. The beta version of WhatsApp has to be installed in both the caller and the receiver’s phone before the video calling can take effect. This means you should either update your original WhatsApp version to the beta version or you uninstall it in order to install the beta version.

This version of WhatsApp was first spotted on windows phone WhatsApp, but it seems now the android version is out a few weeks ago. Android Users can access the WhatsApp Beta version through the Google Play app store. But before you can have access to the app in the Google play store, you will need to become a WhatsApp beta Tester. To be become a tester, You will need to register from here. Once you are at the Beta test page  tap on the “Become a Tester” button.

If you download the beta apk from the above link, then, you have to make sure your phones install from unknown source option is enabled. Enable the feature on your device by Going to settings>security>unknown sources.

Now install the app and it will automatically replace the original WhatsApp installed on your phone. But in case you try to install the beta version and it couldn’t install, then try to uninstall the original version of WhatsApp and then install the beta version.

Now that you have successfully installed the app on your phone, the next thing to do is to follow the normal procedure of activating WhatsApp to activate your newly installed version.

After activating the app, it’s time for the video call. To access the WhatsApp Video Calling feature, you will just need to open a WhatsApp chat window and then tap on the call button.

Now a new window will appear with the list of your contacts on the left, and the option for voice call and video call at the right as shown in the image below.

Since you want to make a Video Call, then, you tap on the video icon just by the name of the person you want to call. Note! As mentioned earlier, the person you are to call must also have the WhatsApp beta install on his phone before the video call can happen.

Once all these necessary requirements and procedures have been followed correctly, then, you should be able to make a video call with your new WhatsApp.
